Our Foundation is deeply involved in Climate Protection & Biodiversity Projects, which are also available as an ecological investment. In the region of Morogoro, we have acquired the first 10 hectares of agricultural land, to proove of different concepts.
The first is a donation-financed reforestation.
We are able to plant a tree for as little, as 2.00 EUR and take care of it, for the first 5 years. This offers individuals and companies, an excellent opportunity to reduce their personal CO2 balance as well as improve their public image significantly.
The second concept is investing in sustainable forestry, where only as many trees are „harvested“ as grow back. We do not use harvesting robots, that cut down entire forests in days.
Rather individual trees are felled. This creates jobs and the forest, with its biodiversity, is preserved.
We work with a mixed culture of fast growing trees, such as teak and African mahogany In the shade of the trees, cacao, vanilla and ginger are grown for export.
Despite the sustainable management, high returns can be be paid to investors.
